Jessica's New Vechile

On Monday we went up to Orlando to a few repo & auction places to get Jessica a mini-van. Place after place kept trying to get us to finance when we didn't want to.
They didn't even know what they had on the lot or the vechiles were over priced for the age and condition they were in. For example one place wanted us to finance on a '01 Dodge Durango that had 105K miles and had a cracked radiator for $8000. Jessica said no because she had already researched Kelly Blue Book prices for different vechiles around that age and came up with an average price of $2500. She knew that it wasn't worth the price they wanted.
We already knew we couldn't handle to vechile payments with the price of gas rising and insurance. We wanted something that would be completely paid for. The last place we went to was a bank repo lot. They didn't pressure us into financing and actually listen to what we were looking for and in the price range we had decided before going. This is what we ended up finding and getting. It's a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager with 175k miles. So far it's running great. Come Friday we will be putting new tires on it.

Congrats on a new vehicle! We are kind of hoping our van might not be too bad to fix, but we aren't really planning on it. We had the tow truck take it to the mechanic this week and we will find out what is up. It has been over a year since it has run. If it isn't too much to fix, we might just end up with two vehicles. That would be AWESOME!

I bet your new van feels like a mansion! I love our van and the freedom to move around in it. I hope your runs for a very long time. I HATE trying to find a new car. Thats why I have Ben....
